LOG 33 Contests

LOG 33 will have our regular contests if you are so inclined.

Photo Contest: The two classes for the photo contest are 5 inches by 7 inches and smaller and larger than 5 inches by 7 inches. Photos should be judged on content only, so if you can leave the frame at home, do so. Besides, I have never found that frames fit in Lotus cars anyways.

Model Contest: The two classes for the model contest are smaller than 1/25th and 1/25th and larger (typically but not limited to 1/24th, 1/20th, 1/18 and 1/12th)

Painting: Get out your water colors (or whatever method and medium you prefer) and give it a go.

Carfts and Needlepoint: Got a Lotus pillow or a comforter you knitted with a picture of Colin on it (or any other Lotus-related material), bring it to LOG 33!!!

Liars Essay: Your car did not make it to LOG and we all know that is to bad but what is the "rest of the story", to quote a well known radio personality. Did you order tires from a "reputable" tire manufacturer to only find they were made with "death crystals" and you no longer can drive your car to LOG? Did Tony sneak into your garage to sabotage your Caterham so he wins the concourse this year? This is a liars essay so use your imagination.

Hard Luck Award: Lost your rotoflex 2 miles from the LOG hotel, engine blew up just outside of Dayton, a turkey jumped in your car on the way to LOG, or whatever unfortunate occurance happens to cause your car to end up arriving at LOG on the back of a flatbed. If you had bad luck, let us know.

Longest Distance Driving a Lotus to LOG 33: Always a hotly contested award. Keep track of your miles. Now this does not mean if you live in NY and then you drive to LOG via Seattle. Just the distance from where you live with reasonable detours for the great back road. Trailering is not eligible. This is also being split up between pre-1981 and those after 1981 and newer.
